Covered Note Pad

Today I'm posting one of my favorite things to make--a covered note pad!  It is so easy and fun to create. At Christmas time, I had a bunch for sale at my Holiday Open House and I also used it as my teacher gift!

The Covered Note Pad Recipe

 

Paper:  So Saffron, Melon Mambo, and Regal Rose (trim)

Embellishments:  Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Buttons #5 (center of flower), Linen Thread

Big Shot:  Flower-Daisies #2, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder

I usually find my list pads at a big box store for a $1.00.  You can always find treasures in the dollar aisle!  I like to design the cover to coordinate with the list pad.

Sweetheart

Good Morning!  I'm sharing another Sweetheart card with you today.  I'm adding a Heart Treat Cup (with goodie) this time. Again, I'm using Melon Mambo and Old Olive together.  I just can't get enough of these two colors!!  I wish I had used Stampin' Up!'s Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder (#117335) on the Melon Mambo base (see yesterday's post).  Oh well! Live and Learn!:) This stamp set is very versatile and can be used for occasions other than Valentine's Day.

Oh, did I mention that our Full Heart Punch coordinates with the Heart Shaped Treat Cup? After punching a heart through the paper, the treat cup fits right in!  Gotta love that Stampin' Up! They're always thinking and coordinating.  Leave me a message if you need the measurements!

Hostess Club Projects

Sizzix Big Shot Bitty Box

This little box is adorable!  I like to call it the mini pizza box.  It's the perfect size for a couple of Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares.  I have made several and I can't wait to give these cute little treat boxes away!  The Bitty Box die (#115967) includes a mini envelope which coordinates with the bitty box.  You can find this product located in Stampin' Up!s 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog on page 201.

Things I Love...Shoes, Shopping, and Chocolate!

Last Saturday, I offered a basic stamping class and used the stamp set, "Things I Love"!  We made 2 cards and a coordinating mini pizza box.  I want to thank the ladies who came to stamp with me.  We had a wonderful time and it was nice to "catch up" with each other.  Congratulations to Laura M., who won the brand new stamp set, "Things I Love".  She was the first stamper to sign up for class.  Chris B. won the drawing for another "Things I Love" stamp set.
