The sun is shining and the temperature is going up! It's going to be a beautiful sunny day here in Central Virginia. I had so much fun creating today's project! This is the first time that I've taken the time to explore Stampin' Up!'s On Board Books. You'll find 3 different shapes (Heart, Scallop, and Bird) in the Occasions Mini on page 34. I decided to CASE (Create and Share Everything) the On Board Bird Book pictured in the Mini. I changed the embellishments a bit. You can decorate the On Board Books with Designer Series paper, photos, ribbons, and anything else you can think of. Each book includes 8 die-cut natural chipboard pages with one key ball chain to hold it all together. It's acid free and makes an ideal gift, mini album, or keepsake. So, what do you say...Give the On Board Books a try!
On Board Bird Book Recipe
Stamp set: Oval All
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Whisper White, Gable Green, Kaleidoscope Designer Paper (#115680)
Embellishments: Sherbet Designer Button, Linen Thread
Adhesives: Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
Punches: Large Oval, Scallop Oval
Miscellaneous: On Board Bird Book (mini #117238), Sanding Block (103301)
1. Use a pencil to trace your bird onto designer paper or card stock. Use Tombow Muli Purpose Adhesive to adhere paper to the chipboard. Use your Stampin' Up! Bone Folder to smooth the surface and squeeze out any glue. Take a damp paper towel and wipe the edges of the On Board shape for any leftover glue.
2. After the book is completely dry, take a Sanding Block and gently rub the entire shape until desired finish.
3. I cut out flowers and a butterfly from the Kaleidoscope Designer Paper and used glue dots to adhere to shape. Embellish to your desire and have FUN!
