Mother's Day is just around the Corner!

Good Morning everybody!  My laptop is in the repair shop this week and I should have it back by early next week.  Keep your fingers crossed!  The back light is out, which means my computer screen is totally black. I'm using my husband's laptop which runs much slower than mine. I have to remind myself to be patient! Other issues are...I'm not sure how to resize or watermark a picture!!  

I have a Mother's Day card to share with you today.  It's another card that my upline, Jean, taught us how to make in stamp class.

Note:  The Whisper White Oval was cut using a tool that we do not sell.  I probably could have used the Ovals die (#114525), but I don't own this one yet!

Computer Glitch

Good Morning Stampers! Hope you're enjoying the beautiful spring weather.  I'm having my computer repaired today and I will hopefully be back tomorrow or Thursday at the latest!  Please be patient with me as I work through this computer glitch!

This is a sweet and precious stamp set!  It's located on page 100 in the Stampin Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. Also, there is a darling wheel, Friendly Words, that coordinates quite nicely with it.  I made this card last week at Jean's. She's my wonderful upline in Stampin' UP! who teaches weekly stamp classes. She's very talented, so from time to time I like to share her designs.

Friends 24-7 Card Recipe

 

 

Stamp Sets:  Friends 24-7, Vintage Vogue (words), En Francais (#109521)

Ink:  Soft Suede

Paper:  Soft Suede, Kraft, Very Vanilla

Embellishments:  Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Jumbo Brads 5/16" Neutrals (#112534), Use a small spray bottle of water (see directions below)

Adhesives:  SNAIL, Pop-Up Glue Dots

Punches:  Scallop Circle

Assembly:  

1.  Using Soft Suede ink on the En Francais stamp, ink and stamp on Very Vanilla Card Stock. 

2.  Using the Scallop Circle, punch out 5 scallop circles.  

3.  Mist each Scallop Circle with a touch of water and "ball up" into a ball. Undo and use brad to assemble the circles.  

4.  Lift the circles to form a flower. Adhere Pop-Up Glue Dot to back of Scallop Circle and attach to card.

Easter on Parade Bitty Box

I used my Sizzix Big Shot and created this darling Bitty Box! This is probably one of my favorite 3D items to make with the Big Shot.  All you need is 2 minutes and 2 snippets of SNAIL and your box is complete! This is the perfect fit for a couple of Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares.  Wouldn't this be a great graduation, wedding, or shower favor?
