Touch of Kindness Sneak Peak

Here's another Sneak Peak of the 2011 Stampin' Up! Summer Mini!  Touch of Kindness Stamp Set and the Happy Greetings Stamp Set are used in today's card.  I decided to pull out my Watercolor Paper (#105019), stamp in Black Stazon and punch it out using my 2 1/2" Circle Punch (#120906).

Ink:  Black Stazon, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi

Embellishments:  Brights Designer Buttons (#119747), Certainly Celery 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (#119255), Tangerine Tango Pompom Trim (#123323)

Punches:  2 1/2" Circle (#120906)

Tips & Tidbits

• Using Black Stazon, ink the birdbath image and stamp on Watercolor Paper. Color the image with an Aqua Painter (#103954).  It's great for controlled watercoloring.  (To use, fill reservoir with water.)

How to use the Aqua Painter:  squeeze the middle of the ink pad and open container. Using the Aqua Painter, pick up a small amount of color and fill in the image.  You can always add more ink color to make the image darker.

• Put SNAIL around the back of the circle.  Adhere the Pompom Trim around the edges. Stampin' Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the Daffodil Delight scallop circle.

Sneak Peak at Recess

Today's Post is a card that I received in the mail from Liz, a dear stampin' friend in North Carolina!  She and Martha, another stampin' friend, are heading our way this weekend for a downline meeting.  I can't wait because we always get so much done (stampin', that is) when we're together.  I know I'll have lots to share with you next week especially since the Summer Mini Catalog begins on May 1st!!

Bold Blossom Sneak Peak

Hi Stampers!  Here's a Sneak Peak of what's to come in the Summer Mini!  This catty will be live starting this Sunday, May 1st, so begin making your list of all the new products! Today's card is mostly made with the Bold Blossom Stamp Set and that's because it will be featured in the Summer Mini as well.  You'll also notice a new stamp set, Hello Blossoms, which is only available in wood.  It's one of Stampin' Up!'s a la carte stamp sets.  I just LOVE it!  

I decided to branch out a bit today and use my Color Coach.  I'm using colors that I wouldn't normally use or even consider coordinating--Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, and Pumpkin Pie!  The Color Coach (#121620) really does come in handy when you're in a rut and using the same color combos over and over. That was me, so I decided to change things up a bit! I hope you like it!

Did you notice the new punch?  It's the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  This punch is different because it's three coordinated images in one punch.  Images look great when layered together or separately--giving you more creative options!

Tips & Tidbits

• Use Stampin' Up! Medium Cello Bags (#102757) to fill your treat bags with chocolate goodies.
• Nose:  Heart to Heart (#119881); Cheeks:  Itty Bitty Punch Pack (#118309)
• Ears:  Small Oval (#119863), Large Oval (#119855)
• Feet:  Itty Bitty Punch Pack (#118309), 1" Circle Medium (#119868), Wide Oval (#119859)
• Ribbon: Bashful Blue 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon
• Assembly:  I used Whisper White and Pretty in Pink card stock.  Use a Stampin' Up! 2-way glue pen (#100425) to adhere the Pretty in Pink punched shapes to the Whisper White punched shapes. Attach punched shapes to the cello bag with Stampin' Up! Mini Glue Dots (#103683).
