Summer Smooches DP meets the Blossom Punch!

Here's a new technique that seems to be poppin' up all over card blogs!  The top layer is punched out and popped up (with Stampin' Dimensionals) over designer paper.  Notice the Rich Razzleberry Designer Paper; and it's just one of the samples from the Summer Smooches Designer Paper Collection.

Field Flowers Stamp Set

Today's card is created using the Field Flowers stamp set which is located in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog (IBC) on page 120.  It was revealed for the first time in this year's IBC, so I'm hoping it will stay and be featured in our new catalog come June 1st!

Field Flowers Card Recipe

Stamp Sets:  Field Flowers (wood mount #122760, clear mount #122762), Petite Pairs (wood munt #122495, clear mount #122497)

Ink:  Bashful Blue, So Saffron, More Mustard, Old Olive, Basic Black

Paper:  Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White

Embellishments:  Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (#109070)

Big Shot:  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (#120175)

Tips & Tidbits

• Sponge the Vintage Wallpaper layer in Bashful Blue before attaching to card base.

• Stamp the flower stems first!

• 2 Step Stamping--Stamp your flowers in So Saffron.  Then, stamp the flower outline in More Mustard.

• Create a rectangular template to put over the Whisper White cardstock and gently sponge in Bashful Blue ink.

A Cheerful Treat Digital Download

I recently designed a springtime card for my mom that she could send to all her special friends during Easter.  I used the Cheerful Treat Digital Content CD that's available as a Hostess item (#124237).  It includes 12 digital designer series papers, 30 digital embellishments, and a 16-piece stamp brush set!  Then, I added the little girl in the center from Easter Blossoms stamp brush set (#124436).

Hostess Club Projects Coming this Week!

Hostess Clubs are scheduled this week...Friday morning, 9:30-11:30am, and Sunday afternoon, 2:00-4:00pm.  The Summer Smooches Promotion is going on this month, so we'll make this bright and cheery card (on the left) using the Bright Blossom Stamp Set and Summer Smooches Designer Paper.  Then, we'll learn a new brayer technique using the stripes embossing folder and an inked brayer.  Super easy card to create and we'll embellish with the Mouthwatering Stamp Set!

I do have a few spaces available in both clubs...so if you live within the Richmond, VA area and would like to join us, please email or give me a call.
