We had the opportunity to attend several break-out sessions.  I attended Karen Hauley's class on Earning an Incentive Trip!  I learned a lot of great tips that I hope to put into practice this coming up year.  Karen mentioned that "A goal should scare you a little, and excite you a lot"!  This can be carried over in other aspects of our lives, too!  Thanks, Karen, for the motivation!

Convention 2012 Make & Takes

Whenever I think of Stampin' Up! Convention, I anticipate the Make & Take Sessions!  Three stamp sets were featured this year...Affection Collection (upcoming Holiday Mini), You're Amazing, and Daydream Medallion Stamp Sets.  Each Make & Take was enclosed in a paper bag (see below) featured with its name on it!  Each day when we arrived at Make & Takes, there was a special treat waiting for us...Basic Rhinestones, Primrose Petals Satin Ribbon, and a container of In Color Dahlias!!

We had a fantastic first day!  We began with picking up our convention bags.  Sorry!  I don't even have a picture of it.  Can you believe that?  I forgot to take one.  You will probably see glimpes of it in the pictures below.  Then, we headed to the Awards Booth...

My Digital Studio 3D Swap!

Of course, I had to create something using My Digital Studio!  Here's my convention 3D Swap...Hershey Nugget Bars wrapped in the new in colors and embellished with the Stampin' Up! Convention theme--I Am!  Makes me wonder how all our General Sessions, Break-Out Classes, and Make & Takes will evolve around the I Am theme.  I wonder what the convention charm will look like, too?  I get one every year and my Stampin' Up! Charm Bracelet is taking shape!

Today marks the first day of convention...We'll enjoy breakfast together, head on over to the Salt Lake City Crystal Palace and pick up our Convention Bags!!!  I can't wait to see what this year's bag looks like.  You know, it's all about the bag!  Then...I'll stop by the Awards Booth to pick up my award!! 

Check back later today...I'll do my best to post a picture or two of the convention bag and my award!!  I just remembered...we are taking a class tonight called  "I Am a Pattern Mixing Pro".  Not sure what the class entails!

My Convention Pillow Gifts!

I'm really excited about my Pillow Gifts for convention this year!  Maybe it's because I created them 2 weeks prior to leaving for convention!!  This year, I decided that I wasn't going to wait until the last minute to make all my swaps and gifts!!  We like to give each other special little gifts when we arrive.  I love this tradition because everybody has the most amazing ideas to share!  Super creative ladies!

Here's my Pillow Gift!

Did you notice the clear DVD cases that I'm using?  It's the same clear case that Stampin' Up! uses to store the clear mount stamps.  You can purchase a package of 4 clear DVD cases (#119105) for only $5.95!

I used the 2012-2014 In Colors Designer Paper Stack (#126910) as my cover.  The covention theme title is from a recent My Digital Studio download and layered using the Labels Framelits.  The scallop trim is from the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die.  I considered adding each person's name on the case, but thought the girls would want to pick out their favorite In Color case.

Check out the inside...I included a yearly calendar created by My Digital Studio, a note pad and RSVP pen in coordinating designer paper.

I had the notepads cropped at a big box store.  Then, I covered the top with coordinating designer paper.  I rolled a small piece of paper (1" x 3 1/4") and inserted it into the RSVP pen!

There are 20 of us on the INKcredible Stampers Team attending convention!!  This will be my fourth year and I think I'm more excited this year than I have ever been!! I even have one of my downline going!  How awesome is that?

As you read this...I'm headed to the airport for a 7 am flight out of Balitmore, Maryland.  We'll arrive in Salt Lake City around 12:45 pm (MT)!  Chris (my downline) and I will wait for some of the other girls traveling from North Carolina to arrive.  We'll grab a shuttle and head onto the hotel.  We already know where we're eating tonight!!  A wonderful seafood restaurant called The Fish Market!
