I had a few requests for the Gingerbread Cookie Recipe yesterday, so I thought I would include it here...
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
!/2 cup molasses
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in molasses and egg yolk.
Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Use the Stampin' Up! cookie press!
Bake cookies 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
This recipe is printed on the Homemade Happiness download (#132192). I haven't tried it yet, but plan to make it soon! I do know that the Stampin' Up! cookie press works very well with this recipe! You may be wondering what I included inside the pint-sized jar...2 cups of flour, and all of the spices. As a gift, I would include a recipe card with additional ingredients needed along with the cooking directions.
Last Day...to comment on the blog candy!
