Halloween Treats out of the Holiday Mini!

Our daughter, Caroline, was home from college this weekend!! It was her first time home since school began!! Yes, she brought an enormous bag of laundry home.  The front of the bag said, "Hi Mom, I'm Home!!  I had to chuckle.  I had forgotten that she would bring her laundry with her.  I was very busy on Saturday evening!  I also made her favorite meal and my parents joined us, too!  We had a wonderful time and I'm really missing her right now.

I made Caroline this little Halloween Treat to take back for late night munching.  This spooky treat is straight out the Holiday Mini! Check out pages 6-8 for examples and to take a look at the supplies.

I took a Starbucks carton/4 pack of beverages and created this Halloween Treat!  I used Nite Owl Designer Series Paper (#123012) and covered the carton.   I used Basic Black ink and sponged around all the edges to give it a dark weathered look.  Then, I filled the bottles with her favorite candies and used the Spooky Night Rub-Ons (#120989) to decorate the outside of the bottles.  I used our new Waffle Paper (#120985) and tied Old Olive ribbon around the neck of the bottles to hold it together.  Aren't they cool looking?

Of Course, I had to make a card to go with it.

Halloween Treats

Good Morning Stampers! Guess what I've been doing!  These 3D Halloween Treats for my Halloween Stamp Class for Kids this Sunday afternoon at 2 pm!

Most of these seasonal treats are using the Wicked Cool and Dark & Dreary stamp sets. I also used the Big Shot/Two Tags die to create and stamp the tags.  If you are one of my local customers, please let me know if your child will be attending.  I'll need to cut and prep all the necessary supplies before Sunday.

If you're interested in a Halloween Kit, please let me know.  I can send you all the consumable supplies (test tube, card stock, designer paper, punched bats, 2 clear bags, various sizes of ribbon, cauldron, cello bag).  Per Stampin' Up!'s guidelines, I can not stamp any of the products. Candy is not included.  Kits will not mail until the first of next week!

Hostess Club Projects

 
Good Morning Stampers!  I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend!  We visited our daughter, who's in college, on Saturday for her 19th Birthday and had the best time!  It was so good to see her. Now, I'm feeling a bit sad because she's not at home!!

I'm delighted to show you the Hostess Club cards that we made yesterday.  Both cards are Cased (Copy & Share Everything) and I'm happy to share the links to the websites of these two talented demonstrators.  The first card uses the Trick or Treat Letterpress (#120980).  If you're wondering how letterpress plates work, just scroll down the right side of my blog, click on Stampin' Up! You Tube Videos (the button right above projects), and you'll find it. The Letterpress Plates are available in the 2010 Holiday Mini on page 42 and you'll find that it's another fun way to stamp and emboss.

Halloween Treats

 

Here's a couple of Halloween treats that I'm preparing for my Teen Stampin' Club. The test tube gift card holder is sure to be a hit with the teenagers!  Also pictured is the Candy Wrapper made with the Big Shot.  It's the Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die in the Holiday Mini on page 10.  It's easy to roll through the Big Shot, fold on the score lines, fill with sweet goodies, and presto! you've got a quick treat!

 

I embellished this treat bag of eyeballs with the Decorative Label Punch (#120907), Seasonal Sentiments (wood mount #120821, clear mount #121130), and Wicked Cool (wood mount #118738, clear mount #120600) stamp sets!

 

Here's my pumpkin patch!  I used the Two Tags Bigz Die and Big Shot to create this fun gift tag.  I have 3 pumpkins (thus my pumpkin patch), the bats stamped along the top (Wicked Cool), and the bitty bat punch (#119279) with glue dot.  I believe the pumpkin stamp set was in last year's Holiday Mini.  It is current on My Digital Studio.

Sneak Peak #2--Dark & Dreary Card

Well, I just couldn't wait until Monday to post Sneak Peak #2!! Here it is--another Halloween Treat using the Dark & Dreary Stamp Set.  It will be available in the much anticipated Holiday Mini Catalog.  It will go live on Wednesday, September 1st.  I just can't wait until you see this catty!!  It's gorgeous!

Embellishments:  Rich Razzleberry 5/8" Satin Ribbon

Adhesives:  SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots

Punches:  Bitty Bat Large (#119279), Scallop Edge Border (#119882)

Tips & Tools:  Here's a close-up of the Bat in Rich Razzleberry Cardstock.  I scored the bat in the center of his body and used a mini glue dot to adhere to the card.  Now it's 3-D and oh, so cute!!  I love the new bat punch and it's available in the Idea Book & Catalog.

 

On Monday, I'll share a Wicked Cool Fancy Favor Bag to coordinate with the Dark & Dreary Card.
