A Golden Anniversary Card

Our family had a special reason to celebrate last Friday evening.  My husband's great aunt and uncle celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary!  The card pictured below was a labor of Love to create for them...a very special couple!  They are such a inspiration to our family and to all married couples.

I wanted to tell you a little bit about this card...I used a Very Vanilla cardstock base (4 1/4" x 11") and a Gold Foil Sheet (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") embossed with the Ampersand Embossing Folder.  I attached the gold foil sheet to the Very Vanilla cardbase.  Then, I added a Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") layer; and adhered a mini glue dot to the top of each corner.  By the way...the Fancy Foil Vellum is on SALE.  It's one of the Weekly Deals and the sale ends today.  The card is embellished with the Gold Baker's Twine and several tiny tags.  The Forever & Always is embossed in gold.

Ink:   Gold Metallic Encore, Gold Embossing Powder

Paper:  Very Vanilla base, Gold Foil Sheet (#132622), Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (Gold #133363)

Embellishments:  Gold Metallic Baker's Twine (#132975)

Adhesives:  SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Big Shot:  Ampersand Embossing Folder (#132970)

Of course, this card called for a special envelope...I created the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board and the Gold Soiree Designer Paper (#133697) and embellished it with a tag and the ever gorgeous Gold Satin Ribbon.  Blessed by God is inked in Wild Wasabi and finished off with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you're having a wonderful "Heart" day!  Here's a couple of projects that I thought you'd enjoy seeing today.  Remember my Hostess Club projects that were posted last Friday?  Here's another Heart Pouch that's "kicked-up" a notch using Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (#125569) and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (SAB #126154).  I used the Big Shot Petal Cone Die to create the pouch and the Framelits Die--Hearts Collection (#125599) for the heart shaped exterior.
